There's only one week left in our Kickstarter campaign! While it's already been a success, we want to unlock some awesome stretch goals. The more we unlock, the more we'll have to improve our stores and future graphic novels for you.
In “Touching Evil”, there is a curse that grants its bearers immortality and the power to kill people with a mere touch of the hand...if the person is evil. Sounds great, except for one little catch: the souls you kill live on in a prison inside your head.

Where Have We Been?!
I know I've been MIA this last week, and I have to tell you - this is the last time I try to get married and run a Kickstarter at the same time. That's right, I'm getting married at the end of this month (if you watched our first Kickstarter Live event, you probably heard me mention it...) so between that and a busy spell at work, I've been a bit overwhelmed.

The Impact Of Your Pledge

Last night I sat down with Steven and our long-time friend (and appreciated Kickstarter backer) Ken Schmidt. We talked about (amongst other things) the impact Chimera's Comics has had over the years.
You see, Steven is a very humble guy (I on the other hand don't suffer from that particular virtue). He knows the store is cool, that people care. But that people would pledge to our Kickstarter? That people would take the time to write us nice reviews, or hang out with us, or tune in to watch us live? Steven had a hard time believing - and yet, as Ken pointed out, over and over again our Community comes together with us.
Small Business, Big Impact
At the end of the day, business - good business, the kind that puts people first - can have a tremendous impact on the lives of its customers.
My endlessly talented brother Nicholas (another valued member of our Community) put together this video about the impact Chimera's Comics has had on all of us.

TGIF! It's been an exciting week for the campaign - in the last five days, we:
ran our first live broadcast
hit our initial goal
announced our Add-On program
revealed our Stretch Goals, and
gave away 4 bonus prizes, including a $50 gift certificate and three autographed copies of Magnificent: The Novel
Customer Appreciation Sale
In this campaign we told you that we want to throw more events for our Community. Since we launched this campaign, we've already held a movie screening for Deadpool 2. Now we're going to have our second major event - a Memorial Day Weekend Customer Appreciation Sale!
As we talked about, I won't be updating over the weekends so I hope you have a safe and restful Memorial Day weekend. Next week, we have more bonus prizes for you, a contest, and some new rewards!
Announcing Our Stretch Goals!

The other day, Steven said to me, "I think people will stop being excited about the campaign once we get funded because we don't have any stretch goals." And I told him, "Of course I have stretch goals, it's just presumptuous to reveal them too early."
I have to tell you - I didn't expect to be revealing these so soon! I have a giveaway planned as well as few bonuses for you, but we rearranged the schedule a bit to unveil these now!
How Stretch Goals Work
If you're unfamiliar, a stretch goal is an informal (ie, not a native feature of Kickstarter) additional goal with added bonuses or incentives! So, when we hit the goals above, we'll unlock the corresponding rewards. You can then add them on to your current reward as an Add-On - remember, Add-Ons let you completely customize your reward so you can get exactly the stuff you like instead of a pre-selected bundle.
